Don't Call it A Comeback
Can you believe it's September already? When we get here, I am always reminded that we have hit the turning point of the year. The air gets a little crisper (well not for me, I'm in Atlanta - but I still notice the shifts). The kids are preparing to go back to school or are already back in school and then something deep within begins to whisper, "it's time to comeback." Come back to the boundaries your blurred. Come back to the woman you vowed to protect. This is your sacred return.
This month is not about pressure. It's about permission. You have permission to begin again. Pick up your journal, your favorite oil, your Bible and breathe deeply. And if you have wandered, no worries. Wandering will always teach you what home feels like. Get ready to tap your heels 3x.
You don't have to earn your way back to yourself or back to God. He is not made a you for drifting. He is not disappointed in your delay. His love NEVER expires. It's not based upon how much work you've done in your devotional or how often you got it right. So, as you make this comeback, come without shame - come with your head held high. He's waiting with oil in His hands...and so am I.
Sooo this month, I want you to plan your sacred self care ritual.
- Choose your sacred space.
- Clear it out (if need be).
- Reclaim the space with intention. Add a candle, scripture cards and your favorite product.
- Sit for 10 minutes every day. No agenda, just return to Abba.
Inhale. Bless the moment. Exhale, I am home.
This is your seek and find moment. Remember the promise you made to yourself to dream big, pray hard and not dim your light? This is your moment to remind yourself that you're still here, still worthy and still ready. Let this be your month to return to her. You are no longer bound and no longer abandoning yourself. Welcome to your sacred return.
